There are many ways to visit Pulau Bidong. If you want go through an agency, Vina Explorer Travel Group might have a tour.

 Otherwise, you’d fly to Kuala Lumpur international airport (KLIA) then take another 45 minutes fly to Kuala Terangganu (this requires a separate airline ticket through AirAsia http://www.airasia.com). There are also 7-hour bus tours between these two cities throughout the day. Price is about $15/person. Some buses run through the night, so you could save $$ on hotel. http://www.pinganchorage.com.my/getting_there.htm. Sungei Besi is nearer to KLIA than KT.

      – If you travel from VN, AirAsia offers better price than Vietnam Airlines does. You could book the ticket from its website.

      – When you travel back and forth between Vietnam and Malaysia, there is a Vietnamese Visa requirement if you are not holding a Vietnamese passport. Malaysia does not require visa if you travel from US and some other countries with Passport does not expire in 6 months. Please check the visa requirement with Malaysian Consulate.

Once you are in Kuala Terangganu, take a taxi to  the Merang Jetty. Here, you hire a boat to Bidong Island. Price is about $ 200/person. There is a group discount or you could talk into lower price. To stay overnight, it can be arranged. On a stormy day, it would be hard to get to Bidong unless you are willing to pay higher fee and experience the choppy waves.
