MC 138

MC 138

by Giac T. Ly

First of all, thanks a lot for your effort to do this. It’s great to relive some of the memories we all had once before.

My boat is MC 138, arrived in 16 Sep 88. I don’t remember exactly how many months I was there. Fortunately, I finally got in the US by humanity program (no family in US at all). Got basic education and started my new life in the dream land. Had nothing better to do but to repay for the freedom I earned. Joined the Army in 1995 until present. I am currently serving in Iraq. Not going to be home for a while, may be sometimes next year. Very glad to find this site and want to keep in touch with anyone out there at the same time frame, same boat for that matter. My email on the line, drop me a line. I had one photo in the camp, but it’s back home. Still have the photo of my Pulau Bidong ID card in digit. Will try to post it up here later. Until next time, have fun.

    Hi Mr. Ly ,

I stayed at the same refugee camp in 1985. I dont have any pictures of the camp and would like you to email me some pictures of the camp for keepsake and memories.

If you can email me some pictures, I would greatly appreciated it.

    thanks

    Joseph
